I am scheduled to be induced on Monday the 12th. (that's if I don't have him myself this weekend...trust me..I am NOT holding my breath for that one to happen. Whoever said walking helps brings on labor LIED..at least for me. And who the heck has the energy at 39 weeks to walk around all day anyways!! shoot me. My mom is here and we walked around the mall today for a while, and all I got was a huge headache from the kids. I needed a nap by the time we got to the parking lot (before we even got in the mall)
So much for not having a 40 week chubby baby that might not fit. Cross your fingers for me :)

Ok seriously. I never went into labor on my own and had to be induced each time.
With Katie I was walking around dilated to a 5 - How nerve wracking is that.
After walking a whole day and nothing happening I just went down to the hospital. When I got to the front desk they asked me how far apart my contractions were. I told them I wasn't having any. They asked why I was there. I said because I am dialated to a 5 and I feel like she's going to drop out.
They let me stay.
Dr.'s are idiots sometimes. If your water were to break you probably wouldn't make it to the hospital - Jason would be delivering that baby in the car.
Call your Dr. - Dialated to 5 is crazy!!
Good luck!
I, like Cherie never went into labor on my own either. I walked around for over a week at a 5 with Eli! I feel your pain!
We'll be thinking happy thoughts for you...hope you don't make it until Monday!!!
Monday, huh....You know, I never went into labor on my own either. Never even felt contractions with Little Sal. And I walked, and walked, and walked (and tried a few other things.) It didn't help. I'm all about inductions. Maybe you'll have him tonight! That would be awesome.
hang in their girl, you will make it and will soon have your handsome reward (he he pun intended)
How is that baby still inside you? I was dilated to a four or a five and went in to the hospital at four am and had an Epideral (sp?) in me half and hour later. I was having major contractions though that were two minutes apart. Hang in there. When all is said and done, it will be worth it. I think the end of pregnancy is SO uncomfortable that you will do just about anything --even go through labor, to get the baby out. You just have to remember who is in charge and that He has His own timetable. We can't wait to meet this little one!
Keeping my fingers crossed that he comes soon and healthy. At least you are half way there!
