Omie and Papa Brown

Jays mom and dad came to visit the other day its, been a few weeks since they have seen the kids,so they came for a late night visit ( not to my liking). When we were in NY we bought Mackenzie the cutest pair of cowboy boots and she decided that she wanted to model them half naked (with dipaer) while she was takin her horse for a ride. I promise she has a a diaper on and she isnt totally nakee like she looks. Harper enjoyed getting all his sugar stolen, and by the end of the night was very ready for his crib.
Harper is becoming such the little goof ball. He is all smiles all the time, and we caught him in action the other night, he thinks its really funny when i say hey mammas big boy, and he smiles and then buries his head in my shoulder, its the cutest.

Yard Work

So here are the before pictures of our garden. We..well Jay pretty much got out there and tilled it and put compost down so we could get to planting! He must have wanted a laugh so he made me try and rototill ( i cant spell it) the dirt. As you can see I look pretty ridicilous.

By the time Jay was done tilling it, it looked like this...
MUCH better huh?? we'll keep you updated on our progress...

Have you seen this??

This is our new favorite movie. If you havent seen it go watch it!!

There were some pretty good quotes from the movie, here are some of my fav's..

1. Love is not a feeling, Mr. Burns. It's an ability.

2. There's rightness in our wrongness.

just go look at the trailer for the movie :) http://www.imdb.com/video/trailer/me60997838/

So funny, and Steve Carell is my favorite, oh!! and we cant wait for the office to start!!

The Moms' Club

The book I am currently reading is called, Moms' Club Diaries. Here is a paragraph from it that i thought you Moms might enjoy, even those that dont have kids yet, im sure you will understand it some day.

"As a mother, I wasnt given a handbook telling me the steps I needed to take to become succesful. All day, I'm in the company of someone whose sole purpose sometimes seems to undo what i've done, to sometimes quite literally pee in my reaction. At the end of the day, theres no group of collegues to toast my success. There will never be a moment when a committe of well-dressed professionals shakes my hand and tells me that I'm finished, that I passed, never mind a piece of paper with my name on it to put in a fancy frame. But I'm grateful thats there's no diploma for motherhood. It's not a task to be completed, not a set of hoops to jump through. I'm gratfeul not just because it's eternal, but because it's far to important."

New York

Finally we are home, and i have a chance to sit down and think. Our trip was very fun, Grandma and Grandpa were so excited when they saw us standing there at the door. We all screamed when the door opened and Mackenzie started to cry, im guessing because she was scared. My parents must have said " oh my gosh..i cant believe you guys are here about 100 times on the first hour we were there. Im glad they were so suprised, it gave Jay and I a nice laugh to see their reaction. The plane ride went much better than Jay and I hjad both expected. Kenzie did pretty well as long as she got to watch her DVD's. What a lifesaver those are! She had a blast running through the airport and climbing on all the chairs as we were waiting to get on the plane in Minneapolis.

My mom and dad got to learn just what a busy little woman Mackenzie is and how saying " no" to my dad was her favorite thing to do the whole time she was there. He would walk in a room and not ever say anything to her and she would go "NO!!" to funny.. They also got a kick out of how fat and cute and mellow Harper is. You will only hear this kid cry when he wants to eat..and you better get it quick cause he will let you know just how mad he is if you dont hussle :) Fianlly when we got back on the plane in MS Kenzie fianally fell asleep ( for about 30 min)....

5 am

So,we have been getting ready for our "suprise trip" to New York to visit my parents. They have no idea we are coming, in fact we thre them off by telling them that we would be in OR this weekend. Grandma Brown came over saturday afternoon and hung out with the kids so Jay and I could go out and get some things done before we had to leave.
Right now it's 5:05 am and I unfortunatly awake. We need to be at the airport by 7 and Haper woke up to eat @ 4:30 so i figured there was no sense in going back to sleep if I had to get up to get ready in hlaf hour anyways. Jay and I were talking today about how nice it used to be to be able to just get up and leave the house whenver we wanted to...these days it is like a broadway production to do anything, let alone leave the house. And packing for this trip....a fiasco in itself. Well Grandma came over and played with the kids and here are a few pics she took. Oh and P.S. Mackenzie went pee pee on the potty on Saturday (of course when we werent home. )

Well its time for me to go get the kids up...(sigh)..i hate waking them up when they are actually asleep. :)

We're off to New York,!!! hopefully I wont jump off the plane cause Kenzie is driving me crazy....
