This and That
5 months and 3 yrs
This little bugger turned 5 months on Sunday. Seriously how in the world has it been 5 months already?!?!
Things I love about Maser Man right now:
1. those eyes-blue as can be
2.He is the happiest little man in the morning-must get that from daddy, not me.
3. He LOVES his jumpy..he's pretty good at it to.
4. He rolled over from his back to his tummy on December 4th.
5. He is constantly "riding his bike", he never stops kicking his legs, funny kid. I will get a video soon.
6. If he is upset, Kenzie can make him calm down, I take him to her room and she plays with him, he will lay there for an hour just talking to her and watching her..it's pretty cute.
7. He loves! to eat..of course..his favorite lately is oatmeal with bananas, or oatmeal with sweet potatoes. he doesn't like squash..always makes a face.
8. He can hold his bottle by himself and he is dang cute doing it.
9. He is starting to have a little shy-ness about him, he buries his head into my chest.
And then there is this one...
This picture was right before we were about to go to bed the night before his birthday, just had to dump the sprinkles all over his room and thought it was hilarious.Things I love about Harper:
1. How he will randomly say, "thanks mom" out of nowhere.
2. He is such a sneaky little kid. He will take something, and hide it behind his back, very obviously, and then say, I didn't take your (insert whatever he took), with a huge grin on his face.
3. He calls himself Swiper-from Dora.
4. He loves his puppies-cant go to sleep without them.
5. He has found a new obsession with folding things..namely towels, and blankets, and burpies for Mason. I think he may some of my OCD tendencies.
6. His puppies must be on their designated sides of the pillow-the same every nap and night time.
7.fights with Kenzie about who gets to say prayer

Dear Idaho
Dear Idaho,
I wish you as a state would learn how to properly plow roads. Lets get a few things straight:
1. not plowing at all and then putting DIRT or SAND or WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT on top of 3 inches of snow, doesnt help! AT ALL!!
2. In fact in the 6 yrs I have lived here in Idaho, I think I have seen maybe 3 plow trucks, where the heck are you?!?!? you cant possibly be busy since all the roads look and drive like crap, all the time!
3. Please plow the intersections, I think those are most important.
4. Just STOP putting down dirt and sand, and please just clear the roads, and then apply salt.
Have I mentioned how much I don't like to drive in Idaho because no-one can drive here, if you are afraid to drive in the snow, stay home! You will make it alot safer for people like me who are not afraid of snow or driving in it.
OK, I think I am done ranting about snow in here and how everyone has a heart attack when it snows a little bit. :)

Have you ever seen such a little stud muffin?
Maser Man had his 4 month well visit. Here are his stats:
Weight: 15lbs 14 oz 75%
Height: 24" 25% we got a shorty on our hands
Head : cant remember the size but...75%
He is such a fun little man, happy all of the time except if you are to slow getting this kiddo food :)
We had to start sleep training him..about 2 weeks ago he started waking up 2 times at night..he hasnt done this since he was a newborn..so we have to try and get him to fall back asleep when he wakes up the first time. I HATE HEARING HIM CRY, HE HAS THE SADDEST CRY!!

Kenzie's View
Yea..im alive..but barely!
This picture is supposed to be at the bottom..sorry..
These 2 cute girls can play princess and camping like it's nobody business..lol

I love this chunky little man! my littler maser, love him!!!
He loves sitting in his exersaucer, he loves to talk and laugh and watch his crazy brother and sister..these 2 crazies down below :)

Naughty Harper: this was right after he was pickin on a girl and laughing about it, so I put him in the high chair...yea right..he tried getting the latch un-done to get out..I loooked at him and said " Harper", then he said to me.." Mom, I wasnt even thining about it..yet! I almost feel over! He totally paused at the end, and then said "yet" ....where the heck did he learn that? It was really hard not to crack up laughing

The "B" girls came and spent a couple days with us while mom and dad went to a wedding...we had lots of fun sleepovers, and picnics, and got lots of energy out jumping on the trampoline..and eating..did I mention that? I think when you get these 4 kids together, it's an eating competition...who can eat the most, and ask for snack 100 times a day :)

2 months....already
I really cannot believe Maser Man is 2 months. Nuts. He had his well check today..he is growing like a weed, chunky kiddo
weight: 12lbs 7oz 75%
height: 22' 50% (I'm hoping he doesn't have my short genes)
hair.....balding! he was born with the least hair out of the kids, and now he is loosing it..slowly more is growing in it's place.
He talks all the time now, and smiles just as much. He is a pretty content kiddo, but don't cross him if he needs to eat, he will scream and yell at you. He will even scream and yell at you when you try and burp him. If you try to do it before he is done being a little piggie..boy..he will give you a earful.

Thomas the Train
I know what you all will think when you watch this video..we are mean. But this is just one of those times, where you cant help but laugh. 2 weeks ago Harper loved Thomas..and then 3 days ago, it came on, and he ran out of the room like he had just seen a ghost. poor kid. sad, but funny.

It's been a crazy month!
Check our Pics from our weekend in Utah!

Click on the pic to go to our Picasa Album, check the August folder too..
I cant possibly blog about everything right now, with lack of sleep and all. This past month has included, a weekend with Jason's family, my parents, and then a trip to to Utah show off Mason to his great Grandparents and my Aunts family, and then on the way home our van breaking down in the middle of the dessert, and finding out it will cost $3500 to fix..who has that just layin around? It will all work out somehow..it always does...right?
enjoy the pics!

A few favorites...so far
Look at our yellow little man. Yes he has Jaundice. It's going away by itself, I'm glad we didnt have to get another tanning bed. He does not like being swaddled, he would much rather have his hands out covering his eyes and ears...but who can blame him though...kenzie and harper are loud!
little feet, i wanna eat!

Birth Story
So I went in at 7am to the hospital. Got all settled in our room, and then the chaos began. I had requested the nurse that I had with Harper but she wasn't working that morning, but I got another nurse that I loved just as much. It makes such a difference to have a nurse you actually like instead of one that is grumpy, or having 3 or 4 different ones. She told me when she was putting my IV in, that it was a super busy morning, and luckily I was the only elective induction that was allowed to actually come in on Monday. Everyone else got pushed back to Tuesday. There was about 10 scheduled, and I was the lucky one..thank heavens, I would have just marched in and said take this kid out, if the would have asked me to come back a day later!
They started Pitocin about an hr after we got settled..and it kicked in right away. Keep in my I was already dilated to a 5 when I got there. I tried being brave (hahaha) for about 2 hrs maybe...and then I asked for an epidural. I could stand the contractions for a little bit..but once they kick in, they really kick in. That was one AMAZING epidural!!! I was super nervous all morning, about just being in Labor..but once I got that, almost immediately, I was calm. I slept for a while, then they checked me..Mason was still pretty high up and wasn't dropping, at least not as fast as they wanted him too. I slept for a few more hrs, but kept getting woken up because his heart beat kept dropping (come to find out later, the cord was wrapped around his next super tight) and they wanted me to keep turning..easier said than done, when you cant feel a thing!
Around 1 pm the nurse checked me and I was at a 10. (scary!!) to me it's almost unreal when you lay in the bed for so long and in 2 seconds, it's go time. She told me, lets do a practice push...I got super nervous and immediately felt discouraged that he would never come out, and i would be pushing for a zillion hrs. I pushed 1 time..and didn't even think I was doing it right, and she yelled "stop! i see his head, He's coming, I'm gonna call the doctor".
At this point, i thought i was dreaming, since when do my kids crown with one push?..the look on my mom and mother in laws face's were priceless..he came in...I pushed through 2 contractions, and then I had to stop because I cord was super tight around his neck, the doc had to clamp it and then try and get it off. I pushed one more time, and we was out. Didn't feel a thing! I wish I could have knows how easy his delivery was going to be, could have saved myself alot of nerves.
He wasn't crying when he came out which made me nervous. They gave him to me and then they took him away to try and get him to cry. (he had fluid in his lungs, and later that night, at about 4 am he finally gagged on it, and got most of it out)
Mason was born at 1:29 pm on July 12th. 8lbs 3 oz. He is our smallest yet.
