Happy Birthday Harper

Harper tunred 1 on the 11th. Ive been trying to upload this video since then. It's just some of my favorite Harper pictures since he was born.

Harper went to his 1 yr checkup today and he hit the 25lb mark. The doctor said his height finally caught up his weight! 75th percentile height and 90% for weight.

what a crappy sunday

So i was looking forward to a few things this month...not so much anymore. Lets explain.

It snowed yesterday and we were in our way to church , Jason was driving and i was being my usual front seat driver. Ever since ive had babies, i have been such a nervous passenger, no matter who is driving, i flinch and yell at people to slow down..i hate being a passenger! i allways feel like we will get in a wreck, I wish I wasnt like that. I feel like i should pop a bottle of anxiety pills befor I get in the car. Sad Story huh? well so we driving to church and i kept telling Jason to slow down and he was making me nervous, black ice and all that lovely stuff. We pulled up to the driveway to turn in to the building. There was a nice big beautiful surburban trying to come out.Well Jason was barely driving 2-5 miles an hr and he tried to slow down, but no such luck for us. We t-boned the nice white suburban. It was like slow motion i was like holy freak...seriously??? I was looking at the guys face as we were about to hit him and his mouth was wide open saying nooo...as soon as we hit, he put his face into his hands, and you could see the look in his face...ugh...great! I can not believe we just hit this car. keep in mind on the way to church Jason was bragging about how I shouldnt be a back seat driver because he has NEVER gotten into an acident. Well look what came to bite you in the butt now babe!

So...I was looking forward to going to the Annniversary Inn for our Anniversary...but since we are going to be totally broke!! from getting the surburban dented out...that for sure wont be happening. Serioulsy..when am I going to win the lottery, so we can actually celebrate our anniversary, or go on a Honeymoon.

Countdown

There is so much goin on lately..here is what we are looking forward to!

1. 3 more days till Harper turns 1.

2.. 12 more days till Jays family get's here and the fun begins

3. 17 more days till Christmas

4. 20 more days till our 4 year anniversary!

Three Fingers and 4 Wheelin

This past saturday we went on a hike with Jays family. We went out to 3 Fingers, a place I have never been before. I hate hiking! haha, i used to like it before kids but ever since ive had kids,i cant loose weight and maybe thats what made me hate hiking. It was a pretty hike. We had to drive 15 miles on a really bumpy road, so i got really sick to my stomach..thats another thing, i coulda handled that before kids too. SOme drove the 4 wheelers up but it was pretty dang cold.

Papa Brown, Nessa, and Matt. Uncle Jack came for a visit finally. He is home from afganistan...at least for a little while. It is such a breath of fresh air when he comes to visit since he is from the east coast, it feels so nice, to have somone not from Idaho around for a little while.

Bowling

We went bowling with Jason's family while everyone was here for Thanksgiving. It was a first for Kenzie. She liked it, but i think she had more fun waiting for the ball to "magically appear" than she did actaully bowling. Harper had a blast playing with the fan. Even better than seeing the kids happy was kicking Jay's trash twice!

Planet Kid

On tuesday I took the kids to Planet Kid. Ive never been there before and it really its lots of fun. I think most of you know I watch the Miner boys 3 days a week and they are really fun and they keep Kenzie and Harper happy so that makes me happy. I ventured out and we had tons of fun besides the place smelling like socks, its was quite fun..a perfect way to get them ready for a 3 hr nap. lovely :)
Harper had a blast, all we wanted to do was play in this big ball pen, he would climb up and down the slide.

11 months

SO the big boy turned 11 months on tuesday. He is growing so fast and such a personality. He is a mamas boy, and I love it. He has this new thing he does..when he is kinda winey and tired and its not bed time yet, or he is hungry and dinner isnt ready yet, he will just walk over to me randomly and want a hug, and then he gets one and he is fine. In the course of lets say 10 mintues, I get 5 or 6 hugs. Maybe thats his way of saying it ok mom, i know Im really iiney sometines, and you feel like your not a good mom, but I still love you.

Here he is tonight when i was loading the dishwasher, anytime I leave it open, even for a second, his cute little legs just have to climb up.

not much

Yupp...not much has been going on here recently. Harper has become so much louder in the past 2 weeks. Kenzie still think she is queen of the house. I still want to take a nap. There are a few things we are looing forward to..my birthday!...turkey! doing fun things with family..and then in December...Harper turning 1. Holy cow!

OH! i almost forgot..how could I? ...I spent the morning in urgent care with Jason because he smashed his pinky with a brick..ouch! He called and told me what happend and I could tell something was wrong, and then he said I need you to come pick me up and take me to urgent care. I could tell in his voice, that he was scared or at least wanting to throw up, apprently he was gushing blood all over his truck, and was feeling dizzy. Poor boy..he is usually such a tough guy, but not this morning, poor thing was pale in the face and bloodshot eyes. I felt so bad for him! so I sat with the kids in urgent care while the doctor numbed his finger with a shot (imagime a grown man laying on a gernie..looking like he wanted to cry when the doc said I have to give you a needle. I had to giggle...but it was sad. He cleaned it up, cut some skin that was hanging and said come back this weekend and we will take off your finger nail. Apparntly it 's not ready to pull off yet. So we get to repeat this whole experince all over again this weekend. Wednesday's are fun huh?

Lots of Random Catch Up

So in the last week I really havent done much with the blog..ive been to busy! I did some canning and made some applesauce( thanks julia m . for the apples) and yummy yummy wild peach jam!
Harper has been doing this the past week, when he watches a baby movie, he has been laying on the floor just chillin in front of the TV..we think its cute cause Kenzie never sat still long enough at this age to watch a movie, its crazy how different they are!
Mackenize has become quite the little daddy's girl.

I really enjoy all of the Mac commercials...but this one is by far my most favorite.

So I am really luck that I am able to volunteer in the temple. I work at the "youth center". I am able to be with kids and help them get dressed for when they get sealed to their parents. It really is the neatest experience. Well last night I worked and I got to be with 4 siblings who were getting sealed to there mom and dad. The kids spoke english and spanish but mom and dad only spanish, so the sealing was in spanish. Going and doing sealings in the temple is my favorite thing to do, and it's even cooler to be able to go with someone you dont even know. I was with the kids for about 2 hrs before the sealing time. There was as 17, 14, 12, and 6 year old twins. Much older kids than I have been with before. It was so nice to get to talk to them before hand and tell them what was going to happen, and find out about their lives. When it came time for the sealing, we escort the children to the sealing room and we get to witness it also. Last night was espically fun because it was all in Spanish. Even though i really understand maybe 10 words, you still can feel the spirit as much as usual. (Im a ball baby in the temple) I allways leave the temple feeling like a little angel. (well thats what Jay says I look like)

Harper is walking...not so great all the time but he's walking. We like to say that he looks like the monkey thats has an alcohol problem in the Dr. Dolittle movies :)

Counting to 10

When genreal conference was on Omie and Papa came over and played with the kids while the tried to watch conference. Omie kept herself busy with kenzie bribing her to count with candy. Needless to say kenzie was very very hyper that day from so much sugar, this video is pretty cute of her counting.

Baby secrets

A few weeks ago, i was feeding Harper dinner and kenzie decided she needed to distract him. They are ao funny together. I remember when harper was just a newborn and even when I was still prego with him we used to say we couldnt wait until we could see them playing together...well this is well worth the wait. I was telling kenzie to tell Harper secrets and he was paying such attention to her face when she would take and it made us laugh cause he would look at us if though he was saying mom..she is a funny girl!

Uncle Fris...A.K.A. Uncle Chris

So last night we were on our way home from Jay's parents house, and i got a message from my brother who just got married, and we went to CO for his wedding. Well i got a message from him saying that he was in Caldwell, imagine me being suprised because i still thought they were in Mexico on their honeymoon. We met up with them pretty late last night at Susan's brothers house in Caldwell for a few min and planned a little get together this afternoon. Mackenize calls him Uncle Fris..its pretty cute. This is my brother Chris and his new wifey Susan.
I finally got Kenzie to start smiling in pictures today!

They came over this morning and we played for a little bit and then we took them to lunch at Cracker Barrell....yummm!! They had never been there before either. Look how tan they are! We really were so excited that they came and visited for s few hours, now they are on their way back to Alaska, where is so cold! They said the weather here today was the warmest it has gotten in Alaska all year. (Not my type of place to live) We miss them and hope they can come visit again soon, even if its only for 2hrs!

Total slacker

So when we got to Colorado my nose immediatly got all gross..and so did kenzie and harpers. I didnt think anything of it, i thought maybe it had something to do with the high altitude because we were wayyy up in the mountains at the lodge we stayed in...Well my cold kept getting worse and by the plane ride home, i thought i was going to die. I had never felt anything so painful in my ears. I kept telling Jay this is what babies must feel like when they get ear infections. HAHA little did I know! We got home pretty much tuesday morning cause it was soo soo late monday night when the plane got in. I tried to unpack and get things washed on tuesday but i still couldnt hear! my dumb ears would not unplug it felt like i had gotten a whole swimming pool of water in my ear and it wouldnt come out. So I made an apt with the doc and low and behold....I have doule ear infections! I really didnt think know that adults could get ear infections, i guess that was pretty stupid of me to think. I really havent been able to feel like moving or unpakcing or doing anything since like..this morning..these last few days of a fever and sore throat and 2 ear infections are not fun. I feel like the medicince is just kicking in now..2 full day later. I will never get annoyed with any baby again, who ever has an ear infection. This is the pits! I know why they cry all the time and dont want to lay down now.

well I am a totaly slacker with my last post you can just go look at my pictures and ask my about my trip if you want to know about it, im to lazy..well..no..thats not true i have to much laundry and housework and dishes to catch up on from being so sick to write about it. But it was great im promise!

Kenzie,Harper and Packing!

So yesterday I took the kids over to grandmas house and somehow she managed to convince me to let Mackenzie stay and play for a few days. Wasnt very hard, because I know how much Kenzie LOVES to stay at Papa and Omie's House. Seriously whenever we go over there it's like she dooesnt even know who I am. She loves being on the farm and taking rides on the 4 wheeler. I used to not feel very guitly when she stayed the night, Yesterday I found myself feeling like such a bad mommy for dropping her off. I really do miss her a ton and the house is so quiet without her! It was nice to get to watch the season premier of CSI Miami last night, but it was to quiet! I cant wait for grandma to bring her back, so she can yell at me cause she wants to watch Caillou. Thats her favorite show..she will sit for 30 min and watch that show...i dont really mind if I am able to get things done :) I love Mackenzie

It has been nice to have some time just to play with Harper. I really dont get any alone time with just him and it was so nice yesterday to see how differnt he is, when its just him..alone with mom and dad, he is such a funny little boy.

All that is left to do now is pack..for our trip to CO on friday!! My brother Chris is getting married, we are so excited to see my family! It will be a blast to have us all together again, we havent all been together since Mackenize was just 4 months old! We're not really looking forward to the plane ride, but we are gonna cross our fingers that our munchkins will behave :)

Harper's 1st Haircut

When daddy got his haircut on Sat we took Harper to get his first "real" haircut. He was such a good little boy, he sat really well..never cried and actaully let the lady do her job..and the best part was it was free!!

I LOVE NEW YORK

I was In Utah at the time, It was my fist semester after graduating High School. I was woken up by my alarm clock..i had a class and didnt want to get up. I heard somthing like.." 2 planes have crashed into the WTC they have collapsed"...was I really hearing this..no..i wasnt. I went back to sleep still with the radio going off as my alarm for class..The radio never turned off and I just laid there in bed, still thinking I was dreaming. It wasnt until my RA and housing directors came to my room to ask if i was ok. I reaslied then that I wasnt dreaming and this was all real They asked if i was ok, and if my family was all ok...then I started to freak out! i turned on the TV and could not beleive for the life of me what i was seeing. My phone started ringing off the hook. my parents calling, me calling them, calling freinds I had in the city going to school. MY roomate came home and told me how scared she was, and how she felt so bad for me, that my home..that was happening to the town I had grown up in. Most..or i'd say 60% of my friends parents at school..and a big majority of people in Warwick (my town where i grew up in NY) worked in the city. There were people in my home ward that also worked in the city. What a scary thought, how many people did I know that were in the city that day? how many were in the buildings? I cant stand to watch anything on TV about 9-11. I wasnt able to go home for funerals and wakes and things of that nature but New Yorkers will never be the same. I will never be the same, as sad as this sounds i will never look at anyone that same way again as i did after that. I remember flying home for Thanksgiving after that had happpend, it was the scarest plane ride I have ever been on..I was flying into NYC..where i was born..where all of these horrible things happend...I dont think i really have been ever so scared in my life as I was when i took that plane ride home to NY not even 2 months after 9-11. Horrible Horrible..even as I am writting about it, I am getting a sick feeling in my stomach. Every time we go back to NY to visit my parents, we..like allways go to the city. We walk around the area..If you have never been there..i cant really tell you whats its like to read all the names of all the people that died that day. I think it was the dayt after it happend, my dad got called down to the city because he is a nurse..he got called down to go help people in the area, and around the site..he said there was just dust and body parts all over the streets. It's frightening....

This video is gonna make my parents laugh. There is a video of me from when i was maybe 3 or 4. My sister Christina was in her crib and I was just dancing all over the place acting like I was the center of attention. This video just reminds me of that, and I know my parents will get a kick out of this...

ok..so this is gross..i wanted to barff when i saw it..Jay was supposdly "watching" Harper when i was getting my exercise chasing after Kenzie on the playground. So as im walking back over to Jay I see Harper picking something off the ground..i get closer and realise it a piece of gum..before i get to him..he puts it in his mouth!! YUCK!!!















During all of this Jason is taking pictures of the kid, but cant see that he is eating chewed spit out gum from off the ground!


Gross....needless to say...I was not laughing like daddy...

The Park

We took the kids to the park last night. Kenzie gets there and she get her workout! She runs though the playground and then she rus all around it like it a huge track for her to work out in..little did I know( not sure why i actually thought she wouldnt do that) it was gonna be a workout for me to!
